The goal was to make a short promo video that showed how the game helps kids learn in a fun, engaging way. Instead of just showing gameplay, we pulled out some of the most fun and memorable elements and built a little world around them. We dropped the characters right into it and showed them taking on the same kinds of challenges kids face in the game, so the learning felt more alive. Digit, the game’s friendly dog mascot, gives players tips when they’re stuck, so we added a moment where he barks out a clue when our main character looks confused. To make everything pop a bit more, we added highlights and shadows to the characters, similar to how cartoons get a polished look when they’re turned into movies. It was a fun way to show what makes the game special without just relying on screen recordings.
In the game, players earn tokens by winning mini games, which they can use to customize their character. For the promo, we wanted to elevate the story to better match that experience. So we showed our character finding a token and then dropping it into a slot to update their look. It helps make it clear that tokens are earned and spent to unlock new styles.
In this game, kids were asked to figure out how many gummy bears there were total and how many could fit on each coaster cart.
This game encoraged kids to learn how to use a ruler to figure out the length of the fish and the fish huts and then assign each fish to the house they'd fit best in.
We brainstormed ideas for this promo as a small team, bouncing around concepts that would both highlight the gameplay and keep the energy up. Since our audience was mostly kids and educators, we focused on moments that were easy to follow but also fun and fast-paced. We looked for scenes that could quickly show how the game works, while keeping the visuals playful and engaging. The ideas that made the cut were the ones that balanced showing off key mechanics with keeping the overall flow exciting for viewers.
